About Me
Hi Friends My name is Arun Puranik. I am an avid fan of Hindi films , particularly of the period between 1940-1970, which i consider to be the golden era of Hindi cinema.
The Fond memories of golden era of Hindi films keep fascinating everyone. Like you I am also fond of old Hindi films. Out of love, passion and more of fascination for this media, over the years i have collected a large volume of research material in the form of film booklets, still photographs, posters, audio/video clips. I am a freelance journalist who had published over 200 articles (Marathi, Hindi & English) in leading Newspapers like Loksatta, Maharashtra Times, Navashakti, Samana, Vrutamanas, Magzines like Lokprabha and Swar Alap.
This is an attempt to bring before you, those legends whose passion and pioneering zeal laid the foundations, brought respect to Film Industry. This is the personal collection made over last 40 years and this is my attempt to share my treasure with people who share similar interest in films and music.
